Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of menu items according to recipes and quality standards Assist in food preparation, including chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with health and safety regulations Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands Monitor food stock levels and communicate needs for replenishment Follow food safety procedures diligently, including proper storage, handling, and sanitation practices Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service hours Assist with plating dishes attractively for presentation purposes

Qualifications

Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant or similar setting Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices Strong understanding of meal preparation techniques and culinary processes Previous experience working in a busy kitchen environment is desirable Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required
