Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner and presented attractively Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen workspace Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times Assist with meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service during busy periods Monitor stock levels of ingredients and report any shortages to the head chef Participate in kitchen maintenance tasks, including cleaning equipment and work surfaces

Qualifications

Proven experience in a kitchen environment, preferably within a restaurant setting Strong culinary skills with a focus on food preparation and cooking techniques Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues A passion for cooking and creating high-quality meals Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
