Responsibilities

Prepare ingredients and cook dishes according to established recipes and standards Assist in meal preparation, ensuring timely delivery of orders during busy service periods Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including workstations, utensils, and equipment Follow food safety protocols at all times to ensure compliance with health regulations Support the team in plating dishes attractively and efficiently Restock ingredients and supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure seamless service delivery

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant or catering environment Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak hours Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in meal presentation Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team Culinary experience that demonstrates versatility across different cuisines is advantageous Previous serving experience is beneficial but not essential; a willingness to learn is important
