We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in meal preparation and ensuring that our dishes are prepared to perfection, contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
Duties
Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and standards.
Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, slicing, and marinating as required.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Monitor stock levels of ingredients and report any shortages to the kitchen manager.
Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and food safety practices.
Participate in menu planning by suggesting new dishes or improvements to existing ones.
Skills
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
Experience working in a kitchen environment, preferably within a restaurant setting.
Proficient in various cooking techniques and meal preparation methods.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Attention to detail with a focus on presentation and quality of dishes.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed as per weekly rota. This is a must.
Driving licence required due to location. Public transport in village limited.
Wage dependant on experience.
