Responsibilities
Prepare and cook dishes according to established recipes, menus, and quality standards, ensuring consistency and presentation excellence
Supervise specific sections of the kitchen, overseeing food preparation, cooking, and plating processes with precision
Manage inventory levels for your section, including ordering supplies, controlling waste, and minimizing food costs through effective inventory control
Lead and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering teamwork, skill development, and adherence to safety protocols
Collaborate with the head chef on menu planning, special event catering, and daily operational needs
Maintain strict compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards across all kitchen activities
Assist in training staff on proper food handling techniques, dietary requirements, and service procedures
Requirements
Proven experience in fine dining establishments with a strong background in food production and culinary arts
Demonstrated supervisory experience managing kitchen teams in high-volume settings
Extensive knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices within the food industry
Experience with banquet services, catering operations, and restaurant management is highly desirable
Skilled in inventory management, food preparation, menu planning, and shift management
Strong leadership qualities with excellent communication skills to motivate team members
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in food presentation and quality
Familiarity with dietary department requirements and special dietary accommodations is a plus
Previous experience in hospitality environments involving food service management and kitchen operations
