Our brunch restaurants in Wandsworth, are seeking a skilled and dedicated Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team.

Specialising in freshly made, high-quality brunch dishes, we deliver exceptional food in a busy, vibrant daytime setting. The ideal candidate will be an experienced culinary professional with strong station management skills, and the ability to execute consistent, high-quality dishes while supporting the kitchen's daily operations.

This is a full-time role, working 5 days per week, with an expectation to work all weekends. As we operate daytime only, our chefs typically finish before 5pm, a significant benefit noted by our kitchen staff over the years.

Key Responsibilities:

Station Management: Independently manage and operate assigned kitchen sections (e.g., grill, pass, or prep) ensuring smooth and efficient operations. Food Preparation: Prepare and cook brunch dishes to Cafe Tamra's high standards, ensuring consistent quality and presentation. Team Support: Assist in training junior kitchen staff (e.g., commis chefs/KPs) under the guidance of the Head Chef and Sous Chef, ensuring adherence to recipes and presentation standards. Inventory Tasks: Support daily food and inventory management, including assisting with monthly stock takes, checking stock levels, and reporting needs to the Sous Chef or Head Chef. Food Safety Compliance: Adhere to food safety regulations by maintaining accurate food labelling, monitoring cooking and storage temperatures, and completing assigned opening and closing checklists. Presentation Standards: Ensure all dishes meet Cafe Tamra's brand standards for presentation, focusing on detail and consistency. Cleaning and Maintenance: Complete daily cleaning tasks, follow the weekly cleaning checklist, and report minor equipment or site issues to senior staff. Support Senior Chef: Step in to assist with additional duties or cover for other stations as needed, under the direction of the Head Chef or Sous Chef.
Qualifications & Skills:

Experience: Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role in a commercial kitchen, ideally in a brunch, cafe, or daytime dining setting. Culinary Skills: Strong proficiency in preparing high-quality brunch dishes, with a focus on fresh ingredients and appealing presentation. Communication: Good communication skills to collaborate with kitchen staff and take direction from senior chefs. Knowledge: Solid understanding of food safety, basic inventory tasks, and kitchen station operations. Organization: Ability to multitask and stay organized while managing a specific kitchen section in a busy environment. Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail in food preparation, presentation, and compliance checks. Problem-Solving: Ability to handle minor operational challenges (e.g., equipment issues) and escalate appropriately. Availability: Flexible for daytime shifts, including weekends, in a 7-day operation.

Pay: 13.00-15.00 per hour
