Overview

We are seeking a skilled and passionate chef de partie/ Jnr sous chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. As a Chef de partie/ Jnr Sous, you will play a vital role in the kitchen, ensuring that meals are prepared efficiently and to the highest standard for our guests. We aim to ensure you have a least one weekend off a month so you have a good work life balance.

Duties

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards. Food preparation, managing your own section and advising head chef of any produce needing to be ordered. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and write own prep lists for the following day Participate in training new kitchen staff as required.

Requirements

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is essential; restaurant experience is highly desirable. Strong culinary skills with a focus on food preparation and cooking techniques. Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. A passion for cooking and creating high-quality dishes. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
