Job Summary


We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management, with a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead culinary operations, supervise staff, and ensure the highest standards of food safety and quality are maintained. The successful applicant will be responsible for creating innovative menus, overseeing daily kitchen activities, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for guests.

Working days will be Tuesday to Saturday afternoon/evenings. 5 days on, two days off Sunday Monday) each week.

Hourly rate dependent on experience.

Responsibilities



Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards Supervise kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management Oversee food production processes to ensure efficiency and quality control Manage food safety protocols and maintain cleanliness in compliance with health regulations Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery Develop new menu ideas and contribute to the ongoing improvement of culinary offerings Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations Ensure all dishes are prepared in a timely manner while maintaining high standards of taste and presentation

Skills



Proven supervising experience within a busy kitchen environment Extensive knowledge of food production, preparation, and cooking techniques Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead staff effectively Excellent food safety awareness and adherence to hygiene standards Previous restaurant experience demonstrating versatility across various cuisines Leadership qualities with the ability to organise tasks efficiently under pressure Good understanding of hospitality operations and customer service principles Competence in serving guests directly when required, ensuring a positive dining experience
