We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our Care Home Team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and preparation, with a flair for creativity and innovation in the kitchen. This role involves supervising kitchen staff, managing food safety protocols, and ensuring that all dishes meet our high standards of quality and presentation. The Chef will play a crucial role in delivering an exceptional dining experience for our clients.
Responsibilities
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production and service.
Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment.
Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to menu specifications.
Maintain food safety standards and ensure compliance with health regulations.
Collaborate with management to develop new menu items and seasonal offerings.
Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as necessary to maintain stock.
Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area at all times.
Assist in serving meals.
Experience
Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within the hospitality industry and Care Homes.
Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management.
Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in supervising a team.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable.
