We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for food preparation and presentation. This role involves supervising kitchen operations, managing food production, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and hospitality are maintained at all times.
Duties
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality food preparation
Lead and supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to foster a cohesive team environment
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, maintaining consistency in taste, presentation, and quality
Manage food production schedules to meet service times and minimise waste
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards across all kitchen activities
Develop new recipes and menu items in collaboration with management to keep offerings innovative and appealing
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and manage stock rotation
Train new staff members in food preparation techniques, safety protocols, and customer service standards
Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery
Requirements
Proven experience in a culinary leadership role within a restaurant or hospitality environment
Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management
Supervising experience with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene management
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Experience in food production, menu development, and hospitality service delivery
Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate staff and foster a positive working environment
Good communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and management
Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable; serving experience is an advantage
A passion for culinary arts coupled with a commitment to delivering outstanding customer experiences

Pay: 12.21-18.97 per hour
