Duties

Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food preparation and production processes. Supervise and train kitchen staff in culinary techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen procedures. Develop and design innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while meeting customer preferences. Ensure all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality, presentation, and taste. Maintain strict adherence to health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock. Assist in managing kitchen budgets and controlling food costs effectively.

Experience

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality industry. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling. Demonstrated ability in supervising kitchen staff and managing a team effectively. Proficiency in various cooking techniques and cuisines, with a passion for culinary arts. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with both kitchen and front-of-house teams.
