Responsibilities

Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation. Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, adhering to recipes and portion control guidelines. Manage food production processes, including inventory control and waste management. Supervise kitchen staff, providing training and guidance to enhance their culinary skills. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organised kitchen environment. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction. Develop new menu items based on seasonal ingredients and customer preferences. Monitor kitchen equipment for proper functioning and arrange for repairs as needed.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Chef in a restaurant or hospitality setting. Strong culinary skills with a solid understanding of food preparation techniques. Supervising experience with the ability to lead and inspire a team. Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in the kitchen. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and guests. A passion for cooking and creativity in developing new dishes.
