We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to lead culinary operations in our dynamic kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation, menu planning, and kitchen management, with the ability to oversee food service quality and ensure safety standards. The Chef will be responsible for supervising kitchen staff, managing inventory, and maintaining high standards of food safety and presentation.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes with attention to quality, presentation, and customer satisfaction
Lead menu planning and develop innovative culinary creations tailored to diverse dining experiences
Supervise kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management
Oversee food production processes ensuring efficiency and adherence to safety standards
Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness of the kitchen environment
Collaborate with restaurant management to optimize food service operations and enhance guest experience
Monitor food handling procedures and enforce proper hygiene practices among staff
Oversee shift management to ensure smooth workflow during operational hours
Skills
Desired Culinary Experience
Fast-Casual Expertise:
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a fast-paced kitchen (e.g., cafes, gourmet burger bars, or bistros).
Short-Order Proficiency:
Proven ability to manage multiple orders simultaneously, ensuring dine-in and takeaway meals are ready at the same time.
Grill & Assembly Skills:
Specific experience with high-quality burger preparation, precise grilling, and efficient wrap/sandwich assembly.
Small Team Leadership:
Experience supervising at least one junior staff member or kitchen porter, including delegating prep tasks and maintaining service flow
