Responsibilities
Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
Oversee food production, ensuring consistency, quality, and presentation of all menu items
Manage food safety protocols and maintain cleanliness in accordance with health regulations
Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock rotation to minimise waste
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
Train new team members in food preparation, safety standards, and customer service expectations
Maintain a positive working environment that promotes teamwork and professional growth
Experience
Proven experience as a Chef within a busy restaurant or hospitality setting
Supervising experience in a culinary environment is highly desirable
Extensive background in food production, cooking, and kitchen management
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively
Experience in hospitality or restaurant service is beneficial but not essential
Familiarity with menu development, food presentation, and serving techniques
