Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable
Chef
to support breakfast and evening services, working on a rota that includes weekends. You will work
under the supervision of our Head Chef
, contributing to a high standard of food preparation and presentation while maintaining excellent kitchen hygiene and organisation.
This role is ideal for a chef who enjoys working in a boutique setting, values teamwork, and takes pride in delivering exceptional food with care and consistency.
Key Responsibilities Food Preparation & Service
Prepare and cook high-quality breakfasts and evening meals in line with menus and standards set by the Head Chef
Ensure all food is prepared, cooked, and presented to a consistently high standard
Support menu execution, including daily specials and guest requirements
Kitchen Operations
Work collaboratively within a small kitchen team
Follow instructions and guidance from the Head Chef
Ensure smooth handovers between breakfast and evening services
Assist with stock rotation and basic stock control
Food Safety & Hygiene
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene at all times
Comply with food safety, allergen, and health & safety regulations
Ensure correct food storage, labelling, and temperature control
Guest Experience
Support a calm, professional kitchen environment that contributes to an excellent guest experience
Be flexible and responsive to guest needs and dietary requirements
Person SpecificationEssential
Previous experience working as a chef or cook
Knowledge of breakfast service and evening meal preparation
Understanding of food hygiene and safety standards
Ability to work mornings, evenings, and weekends on a rota
Team-focused, reliable, and professional approach
Desirable
Experience working in a boutique hotel or small hospitality setting
Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
Passion for fresh, well-presented food
