We are seeking an experienced Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for food, be self motivating, creative, responsible and a strong background in food preparation and kitchen management. The successful applicant will be responsible for overseeing daily kitchen operations, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.
Responsibilities
Work independently to ensure efficient food production and service.
Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards.
Manage food safety protocols, ensuring compliance with health regulations at all times.
Oversee inventory control, including ordering supplies and managing stock levels.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to coordinate service times and optimise customer satisfaction.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen environment.
Assist in menu planning and development to reflect current trends and customer preferences.
Monitor food presentation and portion sizes to uphold brand standards.
Qualifications
Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within hospitality or restaurant settings.
Strong skills in food preparation, cooking, and food production techniques.
Excellent knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices.
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Good organisational skills with the capacity to oversee inventory management effectively.
A passion for culinary arts combined with excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
