We are a wedding and events catering company seeking a passionate chef to join our small team, This role would give you the opportunity to do a bit of traveling cooking at some of the finest venues in Scotland including the islands. The ideal candidate would have there own ideas that could help the business grow. a driving licence would be a massive advantage as driving a van would be part of your duties.
Responsibilities
Supervise kitchen staff and manage daily operations to ensure efficient food preparation and service.
Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with menu specifications and customer preferences.
Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
Monitor food production processes to ensure consistency in quality and presentation.
Collaborate with the team to develop new menu items and enhance existing offerings based on seasonal ingredients and customer feedback.
Train and mentor kitchen staff in cooking techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen management.
Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
Foster a positive team atmosphere that encourages collaboration and creativity within the kitchen.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within the hospitality industry.
Strong supervisory skills with experience in team management.
In-depth knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and presentation styles.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in a kitchen environment.
Excellent leadership abilities with a passion for mentoring others in culinary skills.
Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable, along with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
