Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including training and mentoring team members Oversee food production processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and consistency Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in compliance with health regulations Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery Assist in menu planning, ingredient sourcing, and inventory management Monitor kitchen operations to optimise workflow and minimise waste Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and cleaned regularly Lead by example to promote teamwork, professionalism, and a positive working environment

Experience

Proven experience as a Chef within a busy restaurant or hospitality setting Supervising experience in a culinary environment is highly desirable Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively Extensive knowledge of kitchen operations, food production, and restaurant service practices Experience in menu development and ingredient sourcing preferred Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment Previous hospitality or restaurant experience is essential for success in this role
