We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and cooking, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in meal preparation and ensuring that our dishes meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
Duties
Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment.
Ensure food safety and hygiene practices are followed at all times.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Assist in the training of new kitchen staff as needed.
Monitor stock levels of ingredients and communicate needs to the kitchen manager.
Participate in menu planning and development when required.
Skills
Proficient in food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
Previous kitchen or culinary experience is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of food safety regulations and practices.
Ability to work well under pressure in a busy restaurant environment.
Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration.
Experience in meal preparation and serving is an advantage.
