We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for food presentation and safety. This role involves overseeing food preparation, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring high standards of quality and hygiene are maintained at all times. The Chef will play a pivotal role in creating innovative menus, supervising kitchen staff, and maintaining a welcoming environment for both staff and guests.
Duties
Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure efficient food production and service delivery.
Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards.
Oversee all aspects of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness within the kitchen environment.
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control waste to optimise operational efficiency.
Develop innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends whilst catering to dietary requirements.
Train and mentor junior staff to enhance their skills in food preparation, cooking, and customer service.
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods.
Maintain a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a professional kitchen setting.
Extensive background in food production, culinary arts, and restaurant operations.
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene regulations.
Demonstrated expertise in food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation.
Experience managing kitchen staff and overseeing daily operations effectively.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure.
Previous hospitality or restaurant experience is highly desirable.
Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
