Duties
Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service.
Oversee all aspects of food production, including cooking, plating, and presentation.
Develop and innovate menu items in collaboration with management, maintaining high standards of quality.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety protocols.
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and minimise waste to optimise kitchen operations.
Train new staff members in food preparation techniques, safety procedures, and customer service standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment at all times.
Assist in serving guests during busy periods, ensuring excellent customer experience.
Monitor food quality and consistency across all dishes served.
Requirements
Proven experience in a culinary or restaurant setting, with a strong background in food preparation and cooking.
Supervising experience within a professional kitchen or hospitality environment.
Demonstrable skills in team management and leadership to motivate staff effectively.
Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations is essential.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and management.
Previous experience in food production, menu development, and hospitality is highly desirable.
