Position: Chef

Salary: 13,520 per annum

Hours: 20 hours per week (flexible Mon, Tues, Wed, and Sun)

Contract: Temporary for 6-month with option of permanent contract thereafter

Location: Leeds Jewish Welfare Board, 311 Stonegate Road, Leeds LS17 6AZH

Benefits: Limited evening and weekend working service closed Friday night and most Saturdays, a vibrant and inclusive workplace culture.

The Role

Were on the lookout for a talented, enthusiastic Chef to join our friendly team. Youll be cooking up tasty meals for our clients, staff, and visitors, as well as whipping up dishes for meetings and special events. No two days are the same, so if youre someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in what you do, and can keep cool in a busy kitchen, wed love to hear from you. Were all about good food, good people, and keeping our kitchen running smoothly and safely.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook meals as directed by the Head Chef. Cater for meetings and special events. Maintain high hygiene standards in food preparation areas, adhering to all current food handling regulations. Ensure the correct and economic use of provisions, cleaning materials, and equipment. Undertake other duties as required

Requirements:

Thorough knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations. Excellent communication and organisational abilities. Passion for food and a commitment to quality and high standards of customer care A flexible approach to working hours and ability to work in a fast-paced environment Ability to work as part of a team
