Duties
Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient food production and service
Oversee all aspects of food preparation, presentation, and quality control
Develop innovative menus in collaboration with management, ensuring variety and freshness
Manage daily kitchen operations, including inventory control and ordering supplies
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards within the kitchen
Train and mentor junior staff to enhance their culinary skills and team management capabilities
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
Monitor cooking processes to ensure consistency in taste, texture, and presentation
Assist in catering large events or special functions as required
Maintain a positive working environment that promotes teamwork and professional growth
Experience
Proven supervisory experience within a professional kitchen environment
Extensive background in food production, cooking, and food preparation techniques
Demonstrated leadership in managing kitchen teams in busy restaurant or hospitality settings
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in culinary operations
Experience with menu development, food presentation, and quality assurance
Familiarity with restaurant or catering service workflows and customer service standards
Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is highly desirable
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation
