Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our new venture based in a great venue in the heart of Leigh on Sea. The ideal candidate will have a strong culinary background, with experience in food production and preparation. We are looking for someone to join us at the beginning, to set up the kitchen, create an awesome menu and to grow our customer base in the new year.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and efficient food production Prepare and cook high-quality meals according to menu specifications Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal performance Manage food inventory, ordering supplies as necessary to maintain stock levels Ensure all food safety standards are adhered to, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment Develop new recipes and menu items that reflect current culinary trends Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food preparation methods, and safety protocols Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery

Qualifications

Proven experience in a similar Chef role within a restaurant or hospitality setting Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team Extensive knowledge of cooking techniques, food preparation methods, and culinary trends Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and front-of-house staff A passion for cooking and creating exceptional dining experiences for guests

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 14.00-16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 45 per week
