As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring food safety standards are met, and leading a team of kitchen staff to deliver outstanding dining experiences.

Responsibilities

Supervise and manage kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality food preparation. Develop and design innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences. Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards throughout the kitchen. Oversee the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes to ensure consistency and excellence. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction. Train and mentor kitchen staff in cooking techniques, food safety practices, and menu items. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock. Assist in the development of cost-effective strategies for managing kitchen operations.

Skills

Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively. Extensive knowledge of food safety practices and regulations within a restaurant environment. Proven experience in food preparation and cooking techniques across various cuisines. Excellent organisational skills with a keen attention to detail in all aspects of kitchen management. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards. Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with both kitchen and front-of-house teams. A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional dining experiences to guests.
