We are looking for a Chef to join us at The White Bull Inn!
We are a small pub located in RAF Coningsby, Lincolnshire. We have established regular clientele but also welcome large numbers of holiday makers from the local holiday resort.
We are on the lookout for someone wanting to join an established team with a good work ethic, and passion for serving up well presented dishes to our diners. We regularly receive great feedback on our food and service, and would love to work with someone keen to keep the momentum!
Duties include assisting Breakfast, Lunch and Evening services, food preparation, supplier purchasing, potential for menu development as well as outdoor catering events and buffets.
A good knowledge in food safety is very important - all additional training and support will be given on the job by our owner and head chef with well over 20 years experience in the industry.
Competitive salary - to be discussed during interview based on experience. Accumulative holiday pay for hourly contracts and annual leave agreements for salaried employees.
Duties
Assist during Breakfast (9am - 11:30am) Lunch (12pm - 3pm) and Evening service (5pm - 8:30pm) ensuring everything runs smoothly.
Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes in accordance with our established specs and methods.
Follow established food safety procedures, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen
Observe food inventory, list low stock items to be ordered, and control stock levels to minimise waste.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to coordinate service delivery
Monitor food quality during preparation and presentation to uphold brand standards
Experience
Previous experience in a professional kitchen environment is ideal.
Initiative and ability for independent work is a great asset.
Solid knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
Familiarity with restaurant operations, customer service, and serving practices.
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure
Leadership qualities with excellent organisational skills and the ability to motivate team members is ideal!
