We are looking for a chef to run our pub kitchen in a lovely area serving traditional pub food.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the food service industry and be able to maintain compliance with all food safety and sanitation regulations. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of culinary principles, as well general skills to manage the kitchen to the highest standards. The successful Chef will play a key role in ensuring the efficient operation of the kitchen.
Responsibilities
Maintain complete knowledge of all food preparation, cooking, and production methods
Inspect food production and service processes to ensure standards are met
Ensure all food prep workstations are cleaned and serviced according to company guidelines
Ensure all food safety requirements are followed
Adhere to company policies and procedures
Control costs and monitor expenses
Maintain a positive working environment for employees and guests
Skills:
Excellent record of kitchen management including oversight of staff time spent in the kitchen (assumes responsibility upon hire)
Knowledge of sanitation procedures
Ability to manage staff efficiently
Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
Strong customer service skills
There will also be availability for a live in posit
