Duties
Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow
Oversee food production processes, maintaining consistency in taste, presentation, and quality
Manage food safety protocols, ensuring compliance with health regulations and hygiene standards
Coordinate with suppliers to ensure the timely procurement of ingredients and kitchen supplies
Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock control to minimise waste
Train new team members in food preparation techniques, safety procedures, and service standards
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to deliver seamless service experiences for guests
Develop new menu items in line with current culinary trends and customer preferences
Skills
Proven experience in a supervisory role within a professional kitchen environment
Extensive food production and culinary expertise across diverse cuisines
Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead staff effectively
Excellent food preparation and cooking skills, with attention to detail
In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene
Previous restaurant or hospitality experience demonstrating adaptability under pressure
Leadership qualities with the ability to organise tasks efficiently
Effective communication skills for liaising with team members and suppliers
Serving experience is advantageous for understanding customer expectations and service flow
