We are looking for an organised, hands-on Chef with excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering great food and great service to the public to join our team at Healthy Eaters, a family-run restaurant based in the heart of Brixton for the last 22 years.
Principal Duties
Work closely with the Manager on menu planning, including determining quantities, assisting with ordering, purchasing, stock control, and stock taking.
Oversee and support kitchen staff, including supervision, mentoring, and training.
Ensure the timely preparation and delivery of all food products.
Take responsibility for all duties required for the smooth day-to-day running of the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness.
Maintain consistently high standards of flavour, texture, presentation, and product quality.
Liaise with front-of-house staff to ensure product availability and service requirements are met.
Follow all recipes, cooking methods, policies, and procedures as set by the Manager.
Ensure all food hygiene practices, health & safety regulations, and documentation requirements are met and maintained.
Undertake any additional duties that may arise within the general scope of the role.
