Responsibilities
Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure efficient food production and service.
Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes in accordance with menu specifications and standards.
Oversee food safety protocols, ensuring compliance with hygiene regulations and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen.
Manage food inventory, order supplies, and minimise waste to optimise kitchen operations.
Train and mentor junior staff members to develop their culinary skills and promote teamwork.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
Develop new menu ideas in line with current culinary trends and customer preferences.
Monitor food presentation and quality control throughout the preparation process.
Experience
Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
Supervising experience with a track record of managing kitchen teams effectively.
Strong background in food production, cooking techniques, and food safety standards.
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and organise staff efficiently.
Extensive knowledge of culinary practices, menu development, and customer service standards.
Experience working under pressure in busy kitchen environments while maintaining high standards of quality.
