Job Summary


We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for food preparation and presentation. This role involves supervising kitchen operations, managing food production, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and hospitality are maintained at all times. The Chef will play a pivotal role in creating innovative menus, mentoring staff, and maintaining a welcoming environment for guests.

Responsibilities



Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth and efficient food preparation and service. Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations. Prepare high-quality dishes in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards. Develop new menu items that reflect current culinary trends while catering to customer preferences. Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards across all kitchen activities. Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock to minimise waste and control costs. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and guest satisfaction. Lead by example in maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment. Assist in serving guests when required, providing excellent hospitality and personalised service.

Qualifications



Proven experience as a Chef with a strong background in food production and kitchen management. Supervising experience within a busy restaurant or hospitality environment. Extensive culinary skills with knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines. Demonstrated leadership abilities with the capacity to motivate and manage a team effectively. Sound understanding of food safety standards and regulations. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure. Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and guests. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 13.50-14.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
