We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Chef Manager to lead our kitchen team in delivering exceptional culinary experiences. This role requires effective leadership skills to supervise staff, manage food preparation processes, and ensure the highest standards of quality in every dish served.
Duties
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production and service.
Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
Plan menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences while adhering to budgetary guidelines.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness in the kitchen.
Manage inventory, ordering supplies, and minimising waste to optimise kitchen efficiency.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
Monitor food preparation methods, portion sizes, and presentation to maintain quality control.
Provide leadership and support to team members, encouraging professional development and culinary creativity.
Requirements
Proven experience in a supervisory role within a kitchen or restaurant environment.
Strong background in food production, preparation, and cooking techniques.
Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
Comprehensive knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
Previous culinary experience in a fast-paced hospitality setting is highly desirable.
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong leadership qualities with effective communication skills.
