Job Overview

First Street Bagels is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic

Chef

to join our growing team. You'll play a key role in preparing and presenting high-quality bagels and meals, ensuring that food safety standards are met at all times. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced, creative kitchen with full training provided in

Food Hygiene & Safety Level 2 for Catering

and

Allergen Awareness (Natasha's Law).

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of bagels and other menu items following our recipes and standards. Ensure all food safety, hygiene, and allergen regulations are followed at every stage of food preparation. Maintain a clean and organised kitchen, including dishwashing, sanitising surfaces, and waste disposal. Support meal preparation for catering and events, ensuring timely delivery of quality dishes. Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to keep service running smoothly. Provide support to the Head Chef and other team members as required.

Skills & Requirements

Minimum

2 years' experience

in a chef de partie or catering role (preferred). Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Ability to stay organised and multitask in a busy kitchen environment. Good communication and teamwork skills. Passion for food, creativity, and eagerness to learn. Ability to follow instructions and maintain consistent quality standards. Comfortable working in a

fast-paced environment
