Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Chef to join our Kitchen team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, great organisational skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional food experiences and safety standards. This role involves overseeing food preparation, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. The Chef will play a pivotal role in inspiring the kitchen team, supervising food production, and maintaining a welcoming environment for both staff and guests.

The role includes a monthly split of Tronc / Tips

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure efficient food preparation and service Oversee all aspects of food production, including menu planning and ingredient sourcing Prepare high-quality dishes in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards Manage kitchen operations, including stock control, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times Train and mentor junior staff to develop their culinary skills and teamwork capabilities Collaborate with management to develop innovative menus that meet customer preferences Monitor cooking processes to ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion sizes Maintain a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, professionalism, and hospitality excellence

Qualifications

Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting Supervising experience with demonstrated leadership capabilities in managing kitchen teams Strong background in food production, cooking techniques, and food safety standards Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently Exceptional communication skills to lead staff effectively and interact with guests when required
