Duties

Lead and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and high standards of food preparation and presentation Oversee all aspects of food production, from ingredient sourcing to final plating Develop and implement creative menus that cater to diverse customer preferences Manage food safety protocols and ensure compliance with health regulations Coordinate with suppliers to maintain optimal stock levels and quality of ingredients Monitor kitchen operations to optimise productivity and minimise waste Train and mentor junior staff, fostering a positive team environment Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen at all times Serve as a key point of contact during service periods, maintaining excellent hospitality standards

Requirements

Proven experience in a similar role within a busy restaurant or hospitality environment Supervising experience with strong team management skills Extensive knowledge of food production, preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation Solid understanding of food safety standards and regulations Demonstrated leadership abilities with the capacity to motivate a team Experience in menu development and food innovation Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable Passion for culinary arts with a commitment to delivering exceptional service and quality standards
