Duties
Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure efficient food production and service.
Oversee all aspects of food preparation, including cooking, plating, and presentation.
Develop and implement innovative menus that meet quality standards and customer preferences.
Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control waste to optimise kitchen operations.
Train and mentor junior staff to enhance their culinary skills and team management capabilities.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
Monitor kitchen equipment maintenance and ensure cleanliness at all times.
Uphold organisational policies related to health & safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures.
Experience
Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen environment.
Extensive background in food production, culinary arts, or hospitality industry roles.
Strong team management skills with the ability to lead and motivate staff effectively.
Demonstrable expertise in food preparation, cooking techniques, and menu development.
Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable.
Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations is essential.
