We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing food preparation, ensuring high standards of food safety and quality, and managing kitchen operations efficiently. Duties
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth daily operations
Manage food production processes, maintaining consistency and quality across all menu items
Oversee food safety procedures, ensuring compliance with health regulations and hygiene standards
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely serving of meals and excellent customer service
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock control to minimise waste
Lead by example in maintaining a clean, organised, and safe kitchen environment
Assist in menu development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative culinary techniques
Provide training and mentorship to junior team members to foster professional growth
Qualifications
Proven experience in a supervisory role within a professional kitchen environment
Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively
Experience in food production and restaurant service operations
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced setting
Demonstrated commitment to high-quality hospitality standards and customer satisfaction
Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are preferred but not essential if complemented by substantial experience
Prior experience in hospitality or catering environments is desirable
