Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and preparation, with a flair for creating innovative dishes. As a Chef, you will lead the kitchen staff, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Your leadership skills will be essential in managing the kitchen operations efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of food preparation and production in the kitchen. Develop and design menus with the manager/owner that reflect seasonal ingredients and culinary trends in keeping with the environment. Ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation. Maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen environment in compliance with health regulations. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction. Implement cost control measures to optimise food production efficiency.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Chef in a cafe/restaurant or hospitality setting. Strong culinary skills with a passion for food preparation and presentation. Excellent leadership abilities with experience in team management. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members. Creativity in menu planning and dish creation is highly desirable. Flexibility to work various shifts, including occasional evenings and weekends.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 15.00-16.00 per hour
