Responsibilities

Supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service. Assist in the planning and execution of menus, ensuring variety and quality. Oversee food production processes, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Help train and mentor junior kitchen staff in culinary techniques and best practices. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area at all times. Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations within the restaurant. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary. Create innovative dishes that reflect current culinary trends while meeting customer preferences.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within the hospitality or restaurant industry. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and presentation styles. Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead kitchen staff. A passion for culinary arts with a creative approach to menu development. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in food production processes. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to food handling and kitchen operations.
