Responsibilities

Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service. Prepare and cook high-quality meals in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to ensure optimal performance. Manage food inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations. Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service delivery. Develop new menu items and seasonal offerings to enhance guest experience. Monitor food quality and presentation, making adjustments as necessary to meet standards.

Skills

Proven supervising experience in a kitchen environment. Strong background in food production and preparation techniques. Excellent team management skills, fostering a positive work atmosphere. Proficient in cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures. Extensive kitchen experience with a focus on culinary excellence. Knowledge of hospitality principles and customer service standards. Strong leadership abilities to motivate and inspire kitchen staff. Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices. Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable. Ability to serve dishes with attention to detail and presentation quality.
