Responsibilities
Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure efficient food production and service.
Prepare, cook, and present a variety of high-quality dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards.
Oversee all aspects of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness within the kitchen environment.
Manage food inventory, order supplies, and control stock levels to minimise waste.
Develop new menu items in collaboration with management to keep offerings innovative and appealing.
Train and mentor junior staff to enhance their culinary skills and professional development.
Maintain a organised kitchen workspace that adheres to health and safety regulations.
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery.
Monitor food presentation and quality control throughout service hours.
Requirements
Proven experience in a similar role within a busy restaurant or hospitality setting.
Supervising experience with strong team management skills.
Extensive knowledge of food production, preparation techniques, and cooking methods.
Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and develop staff members.
Sound understanding of food safety standards and hygiene regulations.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and management.
Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is highly desirable.
