We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management, with a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead culinary operations, supervise kitchen staff, and ensure the highest standards of food safety and quality. Candidates with previous restaurant experience, supervisory skills, and a commitment to excellence are encouraged to apply. Must be able to work weekends / bank holidays on a rota basis.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with menu specifications and quality standards
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations
Manage food production processes, ensuring timely delivery of meals during service hours
Oversee food safety procedures, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen
Lead food presentation efforts to ensure visually appealing dishes that meet customer expectations
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to coordinate service and optimise customer satisfaction
Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating innovative culinary ideas
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
Train new team members on food preparation techniques, safety protocols, and service standards
Qualifications
Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Supervising experience is highly desirable, demonstrating leadership capabilities
Strong skills in food preparation, cooking, and presentation
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene management
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
Familiarity with food production processes and restaurant operations
A passion for culinary arts and delivering exceptional customer service
