Duties
Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient food production and service
Oversee all aspects of food preparation, ensuring consistency, quality, and presentation standards are met
Develop innovative menus in collaboration with management, considering seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
Manage food safety protocols and maintain compliance with health regulations
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and control waste to optimise kitchen operations
Train and mentor junior team members to enhance their skills and promote a positive working environment
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area according to hygiene standards
Assist in serving dishes during busy periods when necessary
Requirements
Proven experience in a culinary role within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Supervising experience with team management capabilities
Strong background in food production, food preparation, and cooking techniques
Extensive kitchen experience with a focus on food safety standards
Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and develop staff
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Knowledge of current culinary trends and innovative menu development
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
