Responsibilities

Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient food production and service Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, maintaining consistency and presentation standards Oversee food safety protocols and ensure compliance with health regulations Manage inventory, order supplies, and control waste to optimise kitchen operations Develop new menu items in collaboration with management, considering current trends and customer preferences Train and mentor junior staff to enhance their culinary skills and teamwork Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area at all times Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery Monitor food quality during preparation and presentation to uphold brand standards

Requirements

Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, preferably within hospitality or restaurant sectors Demonstrable supervising experience with team management capabilities Strong knowledge of food production, preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety regulations Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and develop staff members Experience in menu development and food presentation Good understanding of hospitality operations including serving procedures Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are desirable but not essential A passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences and maintaining high standards of quality
