Duties
Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure efficient food production and service delivery
Oversee all aspects of food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet quality standards
Manage daily kitchen operations, including stock control, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness
Develop innovative menus in collaboration with management that reflect current culinary trends and customer preferences
Ensure strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times
Train and mentor junior staff, fostering a positive team environment and promoting professional development
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods
Monitor food costs and minimise waste while maintaining high-quality output
Maintain organised workstations and ensure all equipment is functioning properly
Qualifications
Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality environment
Supervising experience with demonstrated leadership capabilities
Extensive knowledge of food production, preparation, and cooking techniques
Strong understanding of food safety standards and regulations
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Team management skills with a focus on motivating staff and fostering collaboration
Experience in menu development and culinary innovation
Good communication skills to effectively liaise with colleagues and suppliers
A passion for hospitality and delivering outstanding customer experiences
