We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. This role involves overseeing food preparation, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring adherence to food safety standards. Responsibilities



Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient food production and service. Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards. Oversee all aspects of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation in compliance with health regulations. Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control waste to optimise kitchen operations. Develop new menu items in collaboration with management, considering seasonal ingredients and customer preferences. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to enhance their culinary skills and professional development. Ensure the timely delivery of high-quality dishes during service hours. Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety protocols. Assist in managing restaurant operations during peak periods or staff shortages as required.

Requirements



Proven experience in a supervisory role within a professional kitchen environment. Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and food production techniques. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene standards. Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is essential. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure. Passion for culinary arts with creativity in developing new dishes. Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and front-of-house staff. Formal culinary training or relevant qualifications are preferred but not mandatory depending on experience.
