Responsibilities

Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations and high-quality food production Develop and plan menus in collaboration with management, incorporating innovative dishes and seasonal ingredients Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet established standards of excellence Manage food safety protocols, ensuring compliance with health regulations and hygiene standards Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and control waste to optimise kitchen efficiency Train and mentor junior team members, fostering a positive team environment and professional growth Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery during busy periods Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in accordance with safety regulations

Qualifications

Proven experience in a similar role within a busy restaurant or hospitality setting Good knowledge of food production, preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation skills Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in hygiene management Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail Excellent organisational skills with the ability to oversee multiple tasks simultaneously Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is highly desirable A passion for culinary arts and delivering exceptional customer experiences
