We have an opening for a talented Chef or chefs to join our team at The Italian Kitchen. In this role, you will play a crucial part in delivering exceptional culinary experiences that align with our commitment to quality and freshness. We want the right people with the right attitude and will consider those who have experience in roles from Sous Chef/Grill/Head background.
Responsibilities
Oversee daily kitchen operations to ensure high standards of food quality and safety and the success of the restaurant.
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes using fresh ingredients that align with our recipes and menu.
Oversee menu development and ensure consistency in quality, freshness, portions and presentations of dishes.
Manage food preparation and kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
Develop new recipes and menu items and follow market trends.
Train /coach new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and safety practices.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service.
Oversee and manage stock inventory, assist in ordering supplies and manage stock rotation to maximise shelf life/minimise wastage and order supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Sous /Grill/Head Chef or in a similar role within the food service industry.
Able to work under pressure and at a fast pace
Strong culinary skills with a focus on food presentation, food preparation and cooking techniques.
Excellent leadership abilities with experience in team management.
Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
