Overview



We are a newly established bistro severing freshly prepared food. We serve breakfast, lunch and evening meals.

We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee food preparation, manage kitchen operations, and ensure the highest standards of food safety and quality are maintained. A background in fresh food produce is essential.

Duties



Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient food production and service. Oversee all aspects of food preparation, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and quality. Develop innovative menus that meet customer preferences and dietary requirements. Manage food safety standards in accordance with regulatory guidelines, including HACCP procedures. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely procurement of ingredients and kitchen supplies. Monitor inventory levels and control wastage to optimise operational efficiency. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to enhance their culinary skills and professional development. Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment at all times. Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery.

Experience



Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen environment. Extensive background in food production, culinary arts, and food preparation techniques. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hospitality settings. Experience in managing kitchen operations, including inventory control and menu development, is preferred. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 13.00-17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 45 per week
