We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working in pub kitchens and a proven track record in food production and preparation. As a Chef, you will play a crucial role in creating exceptional dining experiences while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. Your leadership skills will be essential in managing the kitchen team and maintaining an efficient workflow.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring all food is prepared to the highest standards Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and productive environment Follow menus and spec books to ensure standards, quality and presentation are consistent. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen Manage inventory, ordering supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery Monitor food presentation and portion control to maintain quality standards

Skills

Supervising experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment Strong background in food production and preparation techniques Excellent team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff Proficient in cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures Extensive kitchen experience with a focus on culinary excellence Knowledge of hospitality principles and customer service best practices Demonstrated leadership abilities to guide the kitchen team effectively Understanding of food safety standards and practices within the culinary industry Previous pub/restaurant experience preferred, showcasing versatility in various cuisines Ability to serve dishes with attention to detail, ensuring an exceptional dining experience

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.50-14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
